My home security system is a Glock 21 (45 cal). I figure the business end of my 45 should be enough of a deterrent, if not then maybe the red light shining down the hall way will be. I have winchester model 1200 which is use for hunting and trap, to long for home defense. I would like to pick up a second 12 gauge and set it up for home defense. I think the shot gun is the superior close quarters weapon.
I too have a Glock 21 under my pillow and have been long thinking of getting a short shotty for the side as well. nothing scarrier than hearing a shotgun load a round.
