i run 35s, stock engine and gears, 5speed and i go up 6% grades in 3rd gear, 55mph.
it has no accel on the hills... but in town it does fine.

so id think you have engine problems... like cheesemaker stated.
and i dont think the 4.88s are true...
and try 2low... see if its any better... or too low
