Here is the story. The aluminum on the rock domes when coming into contact with a rock either sheered off, exposing the bolt or covered or molded into the bolt head.  :outtahere: I guess I could replace them each time, but their not cheap. :lipsrsealed: Truthfully, after running my grade 5 bolts for two years, very few of the bolt heads were chewed up bad enough that I couldn't get them out. A grade 8 bolt is probably a better investment. :twocents: 

I'll try to snap a few pics for you or bring the Runner to the 12-1 AP gathering. ;)

A 12 point socket instead of a 6 point is easier to get on a damaged bolt head. Once the aluminum is deformed enough around the bolt it is much harder to remove than just smoothing the sides of the bolt head with a file. Bolts are cheap compared to the bling too. they do look cool when new though.
