One more thing to consider aside from (or along with) actuall spring rate is the fact that the rear springs are also mounted outboard more (frame is wider at rear) than the fronts and offer less leverage against the spring for articulation than if they are up front which is also why rears up front can seem more flexy.  Just my  :twocents:
