Why are front springs gonna have less lift in the rear. 
Doesn't the front weight more than the rear.  So, logically you would have more lift than less.
They don't have less lift,they have a different spring rate.IOW they're not gonna work the same,they'll flex less than as if they were in the front.That's the reason people swear by putting rears up front,the spring rate on those is completely different and they become hella flexy with the weight of the engine.
