Measure the ribs on that thing, buddy. I don't care about the count, because to me, it looks like the ribs on top picture are beefcake.
If they come out OVER 1/4" - you got a V6 third. If you want, I'll take pictures of the 8 diffs or so I got lying around here and show you how THIN the ribs on a 4 cyl diff really are. 1/4" or less.
