just tell them that Toyota has more new manufacturing plants in the U.S. than the big 3(Chevy/dodge/ford) combined! Then ask why all those pretty new "American cars" are built in Mexico...that should shut them up!
then ask them how often they hear of a 80 Chevy/ford/dodge running the stock engine with around 500k miles on it. They will probably say they see them but not to many. as opposed to my yota that ran 1/2 million miles on the stock engine, the last 100k rock crawling in the worst conditions u can think of, most every toy. owner i offroad with has a motor with over 200k on it.
