They are very hard to SAS, you'd be better off doing an SAS on a 86+ Toyota.

Yeah thats what I have heard. I actually saw a pretty bad ass looking one in Petersons 4wd once and when asked "What would you change?" the owner replied "Engine, drivetrain, suspension, model & make." 

Though if your friend is into fabbing his own stuff it would make a unique project.
