I'm glad someone has been to high alt and knows what it's like coming from some racing friends and the corrected alt can jump to 8000+ and that's at 4600 non corected I work on boat's and we fight this all day/every year I still after all these years have to give MARLIN AND HIS CREW MANY THANKS FOR DRIVING MY TRANS TO ME IN UT! you guy's are the best! as for the gears I'm for the 5.29s with big mike but when I do this I also will be doing a bigger cam but can't see that as big as the gears when I'm going hunting loaded to the max I'm at speed as fast as I dare to go at 60-65 mph as long as th rpm's are around 3000 the truck runs the flats great but those over passes and grades are a killer I'm haulin for three and two dogs and all the bull crap with a shell and a boat so if it's reving to far in 4th there is the 5th gear that has rarley been used if in 5th its possibly over reving I'll be glad to slow down and have another budweiser or just relax and cruise I go at night and leave early morning not to stress the truck or me and 60-65 is ok for max speed I think 5.29.s? I looked at the speed and rpm's of the chart aove and I wish I was going off the 4.88's but am off from that. thanks for all the help race.
