Legally, Trail Gear has the right to sell the knuckles. That is only because the contract term to allow Marlin to sell them himself expired. So, Trail Gear released the product immediatetly after. The fact of the matter is that Trail Gear fucked Marlin out of it by raising the price of the product and increasing the minimum order quanity beyond what Marlin could afford to pay. Basically, Trail Gear priced Marlin out of it, then waited until the contract ran out, then released it themselves. What sucks, is that this is an all to common business practice of Trail Gear. Its honestly what we expect from them now.

People need to remember that Chris con'd Marlin into signing all of these contracts with false promises. Very similar to what Messer and Geiger promised Brian at Diamond Axle about a no-competition clause.

When Marlin was going to sell the company, the contract basically stated that the new company could terminate his employment after one year. It was imbedded and hidden under pages and pages of legal docs in the contract. He would have lost his job, and the Marlin Crawler name. And, he wouldn't be able to open another company for five years because of a no-competition clause that was also buried into it. So, at that point, know his livelyhood was at stake, he decided not to sell. Chris, being very pissed because his deal had gone south, left Marlin Crawler when Messer offered him more $$$.

This IMO, was nothing close to what Geiger tried to do to Jon at All-Pro though. And, he would have succeeded if the dumbass hadn't gotten drunk and ran his mouth off with the wrong people overhearing it.
