Oh, okay, that makes sense... So the solenoid keeps both batteries from being drained, and keeps the primary battery fully chargaed via the alternator...
So a solenoid is an important part of the setup I guess.
But what about the isolator? What are the benifits of keeping the extra battery seperated? Has anyone used a solar charger, with a solenoid being used, to help keep the secondary battery charged?
