ya I put the thermostat in with spring down so it must be a bad thermostat, its a 190* stant from checker

I was reading this thinking it was a stant, then scanned down far enough to see this.  DO NOT TRUST YOUR ENGINE TO A STANT!!!  It's not a matter of if, but when they will fail.  Yes, every manufacturer will make a few bad units, but nearly every stant I've had has failed, even the "fail safe" stant I bough, which was supposed to lock open if it failed, yet it locked closed instead.  I buy as much as possible from toyota, and even got my tps WAY cheaper from toyota than autobone wanted.
