When I change ATF in any of my vehicles I save the old in a 5 gal bucket, I can soak items in it for long periods and they come out CLEAN, for quick clean brake cleaner and a brush. I would caution against gas or diesel as a degraser. These dorks in my truck yard degreased one of their Peterbilts with diesel the next day when they drove it it went up in flames.
