use alovera, vinegar, or water to remove the heat, just make sure not to use lotion.
one way to avoid the stiffness next time u get burned is:
after you are finished for the day take a cold-med temp shower (of course), then when u lie down in bed have your arms stretched out over your head (around the pillow). this will stretch your skin out, allowing more area for the heat to dissipate from, and your back/shoulders/neck/chest wont be sore the next day. only things that will bother you are shirts and lights (duh).

trust me, i'm a fair skinned redhead, used to being burned within 15 minutes outside (in west texas). end of summer my skin matches my hair, with or without sunscreen.
