I get sunburned every single year, and you'd think I have a good way of coping, but I don't.  I just suck it up, but I never get super bad(my neck and face turn a permanent shade of red during the summer).  I guess when you work outside every day you get burned more gradually, but the glare off the water also intensifies the burns.  All I do is try to keep the area moisturized with either aloe or lotion, so that when it does peel I can get sheets instead of flakes.  That's annoying.  Good luck, you probably have another good day of suffering before you get the "oh hey, maybe this will turn into a nice tan" feeling, then in a couple days........

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!
