No, that is for a snap ring. It catches a groove in the side gear to hold them in. You may need to reuse the ones on the old axles or get new ones. Depends how they look after you finaly get them out. I will look for mor pics.
Ok, c-clamp/snap ring, same thing to me. As fer the snap ring... in order to get to it I'd have to open the diff.... right?
That is what's keepin it from comin out.... from what I can tell. And when I put my new axle in I have to replace the snap rings... right? Makes sense, but in order to do that I'd assume opening the diff
