I guess we all have our own driving styles .... my Toy rear end has held up very well 36" TSL's and a 350.  I have NEVER :shake: broken an axle or a R&P and yes I have done about all you can do to in abusing it. :hammerhead: :flamer:   Reverse to first, power breaking on wet and dry pavement, the tranny has a very aggressive shift kit and when it goes from 2nd to drive at 5000 R's..... :_order: BAM!!!!!  4yrs running now with only a carrier to show for carnage.

When you say your gonna flip the axle upside down for high pinion use, which way would your axles then turn?????? :headscratch:  :suprised:

Stewy

Thanks for the info Stewy... the motor will be in the truck backwards  :yesnod: and no its not for high pinion.

Also, I just for a set of Ford 9" axles for $100 CAD, it that worth it?... I guess they aren't all that pricey. and they should also hold up, right?

I'm just asking because they have the pinion that comes out of the 3rd and I have an article on how to make the oiler work for a flipped axle.
