Toyota V6 Diff strength?
« on: Jan 06, 2007, 07:26:07 AM »
Hey guys, anyone know about how strong the V6 with 4.11 or strongest setup is. Or about what it compares to. Everyone knows about the axles and stuff but Ive never heard about the diff. Then again I dont really hear of them breaking anyway... :turtle:

I believe the typical saying is that a V6 gear set (any like ratio) is 50% stronger than a 4cyl gear set, and a high pinion gear set (when used in the front) is 25% stronger than a V6.

Man Thats Crazy! There is no way a stock toyota axle is comparable to a dana 44. I've crawled over obistacles with stock birfs that a dana 44 crumpled to pices on. I don't have proof but a dana 44 with stock axles is no comparason to a toy front. I run 36 irocks duals and 5.29 gears and put a comparable taco(waggy 44) to shame. If You were to ask the same question on another forum (TTORA) you might get a different set of answers. I have a set of scout 44 axles laying around that I have compared to toy axles and the toy stuff has alot more beef.
