The 2.4 is a good engine. Does it still have 8 plugs? If you do rocks you don't need a big bad engine, just low gears.
no the 8 plug was the z24 motor. I used to have a 89 with that motor and i would change them in an instant. That motor was a realy stong and fast motor. I really miss that truck, but i guess thats what happens when you slide sideways and hook a stump at 45. for a brief second i was looking straight down at everything.
