I would suggest that anybody take the concealed handgun class to anybody out there! I did it for two reasons. At the time Oregon had a 21 day wait before you could legally take it home after you bought it! So, when I wanted a gun I could take it home the day I paid for it! And secondly, the most important reason, was that I could lock my gun up behind the seat or in a locked box out of sight! If you don't have a permit, by law you have to have it exposed at all times, and that just makes the bad guys want it even more! Be prepared, if you get pulled over, it will show up on a dmv check. I had a cop pull me over driving a friends truck home for him. And I gave the cop my drivers lic and he came back with his gun drawn asking me if I had a weapon concealed on me!
Most of the time my .45 ACP is locked in my glove box!
