I've had a few sets of mud rovers and they worked good. I ran a set of 35x12.50's the last time I went to Tellico and they gripped great on rocks. They worked about as good as any other radial M/T in the mud (they're not a TSL) . The BFG's have a better sidewall but I never cut one of the rovers. Overall I would say they are a great tire for the price. It just all depends on how much you want to spend.
