Personally I'd just run a toyota doubler.

To answer your question. Shifters for the d300 will get ugly in a small tpyota cab unless you do cables  ($$$). You will also need to source the OTT or AA adapter to mate the two. ($$$) You will have to fab up a cross member due to the d300 being designed to be "free hanging" behind whatever jeep it was originally in as the trans cross member did the work. Not too hard to build a cross member, the front dig would be awesome.
