FYI, all 88 EFI stuff from front to back will be direct bolt IP I believed. So you can use all the 88 wiring harnesses to swpa your truck and not have to deal with splicing. I know my 89 wiring all hooked up to the 84 stuff even the back lights. Just ended up using the cluster from my 89. 88 should be just as good if not easier
