I'm sure someone else will chime in.  The easiest way would be to use a weber but it looks like you're doing OK to me.  I would keep using the stock distributor, no reason to change that.  EGR and air pump block offs, plug your unused ports and you should be good to go.  There are a bunch of good write ups on de-smogging the 22r carb.  Here is one:

 20r carb is pretty similar, maybe even a few less things to mess with.
