When I had marlin build me a head he told me to bring the motor up to normal operating temp after I install the head of course. Then shut it down and retorque right away while it's still hot. he said to back it off a half a turn and increase the torque to I beliece 63 ilbs. Don't quote me on the torque. And he said it don't matter what kind of gasket your running.
