Sorry 83yota5960, I wasn't trying to steel you thread.

I have an intake off of a '94 and it has a dashpot. It looks self-contained as the one on my '88 has a vacuum hose and filter on it. I do believe if the dashpot is working you will see it slowly compress when the throttle adjustment screw makes contact with the plunger on it.
