higth ideal after motor swap

3 days ago my efi worked great put a new motor in now it ideals at 3k and sures up and down after it gets hot

      dude... i cant spell for either but thats what "spell check" is for. its hard for people to help you if they cant understand what the hell your saying, know what i mean? also, we need a lot more info on your truck and the new motor. if you did this swap im sure you can fix this problem.

you mean it "idles" at 3000 rpms?? 

have no idea what a "sures" is

I just bought a new truck with a 22re that knocked. I swapped motors today and now it idles at 3k and jumps up and down. i dont know what to do!

start by checking to see if it throws a code when you jump the terminals. You probably missed a connection or something.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check all of your vacuum lines and the EGR connections (where it bolts to the intake plenum, and the compression nut just below it). The compression nut on the pipe going from the ERG valve to the intake was the problem with mine.
