no, '79 and '80 models with upscale trim were called the "sport"(as far as 4x4s go, 2wds were available as SR5 because they had an available 5 speed). this got you the tach in your main cluster, and the auxillary oil presure and voltmeter gauges in a nifty console add-on.
don't quote me, but i think '79 and 80 had a different style plug from '81, and most definitely different from '82-83
