New Product - Special Rear Axle Seals
« on: Feb 16, 2007, 04:26:47 PM »
Marlin Crawler is happy to release these Special Rear Axle Seals for your 1979-1995 Hilux and 1995-2005 Tacoma Rear Axle housing. These seals compliment our new HD Inner Axle Seals.

What makes these seals special is a carefully indexed "lip" that mates against the axle housing for a perfect aligning fit. Rear Axle Seals are something that you would like to "forget" about, so ensure proper installation by using our Marlin Crawler Rear Axle Seals!

The carefully indexed lip ensures correct seal depth and contact with the rear axle shaft. From our Online Catalog, "The lip aligns the seal parallel with the axle housing, which assures precise seal alignment for increased seal performance and extended seal life."

We are offing this seal at the same price as the factory seal, so its pretty much a slap in its face!

MC-12150, Rear Axle Housing Seal, $4.99

This Seal and others can be found on our Heavy Duty Axle Parts and Accessories Catalog Page.
Always remember to grease any seal before installation.

Regards,
BigMike

Just wanted to give an FYI, I tried to install one of these this weekend in my 99 Tacoma after I blew a seal on the trail and they were a no go.  The flange/lip does not let the seal go into the housing.

JT,

Tessie informed me earlier that someone had called regarding this.

Does your Tacoma have Anti Lock Brakes?

The Seals are a direct fit for all 1979-95 Hilux, 1993-98 T100, 2000-06 Tundra, and 1995-04 Tacoma/4Runner Rear Axles, excluding axles with ABS. We have a non-ABS Tacoma rear axle here that I could check the seal fit on.

Mike,

My truck does not have ABS, but from what I have heard, the TRD rear axles are set up from the factory with ABS shafts.  The axle housing has the ABS ports on the axle housing, the shafts also have the ABS gear on them as well.

Luckily I checked to make sure the Marlin seal would fit before pulling the old one, which I cleaned up and it appears to be holding up without trouble now, must have had some dirt on the seal.

Looks like these seals won't work on TRD equiped rear axles??

I never thought I'd be happy(sort of) to see a rear axle seal failure happen on my toy, but it happened today, so I get to put the HD seals in the rear now...

...so when are the HD pinion seals and t-case output seals gonna be out?
