U-joint Replacement
« on: Mar 30, 2005, 05:40:55 PM »
I need to replace the lower U-joint on my rear drive shaft, The other day i went to grease it and no Zerk :dunno: .  And now I am starting to get some vibration.  I have a my old front drive shaft, and was going to use one off of that, at first I hade no Idea how to remove it, then I started reading the FSM, and found out how, the question I have is that  in the FSM it says your not supose to reuse the old snap rings, and they have different thickness's to account for free play.  has anyone ever had to do this before.  Should I just get a new U-joint?

Thanks

Late

Dude,

I just got some new ones for my rear D line, $7.99 for front and rear. I got em at Kragen...They are kinda cheeseball but they work.

When I changed mine, they were all dry, dust came out, and there were very few needle bearings in one of the caps... Just started to do it, changed them the next day.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!
