hi, i just finished my chevy 63" swap on my 85 4runner, and while i was testing it out with some friends i got stuck on an obstacle because my springs would not flex more, because the tire was hitting the frame. I want to space out the tire so i can use more flex, but was wondering what you guys think about the ebay 2" hubcentric spacers. Mostly in town driving, but all the good trails are about 40 miles away so it will see some highway use.

also, i was gonna get the third member out of a 1994 4runner with 4.88 gears, just got a bright idea that maybe i should grab the whole axle drum to drum for only 100 bucks more :0 will this be a direct bolt on? This will solve my problem better than wheel spacers will

Not a direct bolt in, 94 runner has a link system and coils springs. You are going to have to cut all the brackets off the housing and install spring perches for the leaf springs.

The problem with the FACTORY 4:88's is if you blow the gears you will have to get new gears at the dealer, there is no aftermarket support for the FACTORY 4:88's. Here is a picture to show you the difference in the FACTORY 4:88's and a aftermarket gear set. If you are not a hardcore wheeler go for the FACTORY 4:88's, but if you wheel like I do, stay away from them IMO.

I've been running spacers front and rear for years as well with a lot of hard wheeling on them and I run 37s, they are eBay spacers from a company called atv engineering , never had one fall off or come loose, re torque them after a few hundred miles of driving on them

I've run Wheel spacers on my 85 xtra, check 'em twice a year, wheel the truck at least once a month with my club from Bishop to Superstition and have never had one even slightly loose.

Forgot to mention, had them on the truck for five years of hard off-roading.

Do not get the hub centric!  Those are only necessary when running factory wheels and wanting them to line up.  You just need regular flat faced spacers

I know you already got spacers but in the future the best thing to do would be to find a whole axle or just the housing and shafts from a 4x4 toyota truck from 1986-1995. the axle is 3" wider and has bigger brakes.

then ad some 1.5" spacer to the front axle and you will be all evened out.
