I picked up this 39 Chevy pickup from my buddies old man for $500. The plan is to have a sweet rat rod/tow rig to haul my Yota around. So far the plan involves an 855 cube Cummins small cam 300 with a 7 speed Eaton. Which I got from the same buddies brother. My idea is to pull a low slung gooseneck big enough to haul my two Toyota crawlers or a couple other rats. Not sure what rear end to use. Although the idea of an air brake 2-spd rear has been mentioned. If not that I've thought about something similar to the Rockwell rear end in my old mans F-650. Other than those few ideas this build is just coming together. We're still on the drawing board.
I'll be headed out to this weekend to give it a look over and to take measurements for the frame modifications needed to set the monolith of an engine in. So I'll have more info and pics early next week.

You may have to raise the cab up to see around the motor. Haha [emoji106]

Why not part ways with that big cam and get you a 12v and nv4500? More power, better fuel economy.
