So ive been meaning on doing a build tread for sometime now i just havent. :smack:
it will be a slow buld so bare with me
the tale starts when i lost my truck on saint patricks day driving to the store to get some refreshments... well i didnt have registration or insurance because I couldnt get my old black beater to pass ca. smog  :reg: my smart ass decided to take it to the gas station lone behold there was a cop on the back road not the main road... well got it impounded  at that time I wasnt working at the time and couldnt get it out of impound.

So i decided to cash out my 401k (the little i had) just to get another toyota  and thats when i came across this one.

and so i tore apart the truck and found a stage 3 centerforce clutch shreded and a lightened flywheel. i dont quiet know how but yes it was done for
so i replaced with a stock one i had from a buddy. and took a leaf out front and rear. it sat to tall for me anyways. i was happy the way it sat after that.

We scored a rock crawl this year and saw something kind of funny.  There were a good group of well built rigs.  Really nasty course. Big rocks, notched, vertical wall two trucks long.

The cool linked Toyotas all flopped and bound up, got wedged, etc in a couple spots.  The good flexy but simple leaf sprung Toyotas cleaned the same lines that were flopping and binding the linked jobs.  1st place was a leaf sprung 4Runner.

That was a real eye opener for me.
