Ershim Lake Campground Fire Ring Install by Hill Hoppers of Fresno July 24-26 2015

Last weekend Hill Hoppers club of Fresno trailered in 7 fire rings and 8 bags of cement to Ershim lake. We took out the old fire pits and installed the new fire rings then cleaned and repainted the bathrooms. It was a lot of work but it was a fun trip and well worth it! I think people will really enjoy the new upgrades!  :thumbs: Thanks to Marlin and the Fresno 4wd club for going in ahead of us and clearing the trail! :thumbs:

I called the ranger station about the campfires this year. NO campfires allowed!
You will need a permit to use your camp stove too. See above link.

the reason I ask is because fires ARE allowed in established FS campgrounds with rings.

I hear you. But they said no fires anywhere on the trails. Has to be a F.S. Campground. The ones along the trails don't count as F. S. camps.
