Honestly my stock 3.4l i felt was enough for what i needed.   It would have been cool to put a trd supercharger on it though

Big tires will kill a stock 3.4 fast. I'm wanting to run 38's to 39 1/2's on my truck.

Big tires will kill a stock 3.4 fast. I'm wanting to run 38's to 39 1/2's on my truck.

depends on the weight of the rig as well, pickup or 4runner or?

i know dingman had his in a heavy 2nd gen 4runner but from what i know that thing was quick even with 36s iroks and the 39.5 bajas.

my buddy has a 3.4 swapped 2nd gen single cab truck all stock motor pushing 40" mtrs and his truck will pull any hill 80mph plus some power, he is also geared to 5.29, gearing plays a big roll in this.
low n' slow 85 runner SR5 22re,rcvs ,Duals,5.29s,Detroits f&r,40s,RUF,Chevy 63 rears,Armored,Cage

bobbed and beat 91 ex cab,3RZ swapped,dual ultimates, dana 44 sas 5.38/5.29 combo,37s, RUF, 63 rears,ARB front, detroit rear,cage

Mine will be in a 1992 ext cab toyota pickup. I've already planned on 5.29 gears also. You think I'd be ok stock with the 5.29 gears?

I had 5.29s on toyota diffs and ran 35"s-39.5" iroks.  Most of the time i ran 37" toyos.  I was happy with my motor!
