marlin steering arms

the right side steering arm would not come off at all until I beat the hell out of it.  The bearing was just totally gone and now I cant the get the steering arm back on somethings really messed up with something you guys ever have any problems like this.  pretty sure its the steering arm though ive tried it on my spare axle same thing It wont go in the hole how its supposed to

Test fit the trunion bearing on the arm first. Make sure it fits snug, but easily. If that fits ok, then it may be a matter of lining everything up just right. I've had trouble getting the knuckle in the right position so the arm would drop down in.
As far as the bearing being really munched, that's usually because the pre load isn't right. Make sure you have it shimmed right so it's not too loose, or loaded too tight.
If it went in before, there shouldn't be any reason it won't go back.
