It just dawned on me why Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet....nobody was married!!

Here are the single people that come to mind. Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard,
Goober, Gomer, Sam, Ernest T Bass, the Darlin Family, Helen, Thelma Lou, & Clara...

The only one married was Otis and that poor soul stayed drunk! Wonder why that was?

Interesting observation.... gotta admit that has never occurred to me before. Hmmmmmmmm...........   :dunno:



On a possibly related note -- why do husbands die sooner than wives? Because they want to!!    :_oops:

Yep, the only reason why married people live longer than single people is to finally have the last word. :laugh:
