Would be too cool to have a rig like that, and old enough to do a drivetrain swap so you don't have to smog.   Hell, a nice 12valve Cummins would be make it a badass tow rig.

I know a guy with a 12v cummins in a 60s 4x4 ford and there's another around here with a crew cab lb 78ish f250 with the same engine, and another with an old cornbinder with the 12v.

Can't go wrong with a 12v.  A good solid mechanically ran diesel.  In the long run, its got the be the best damn diesel out there.  All the new ones have all sorts of issues with them.

Nice ford for sure. I have a 74 super cab 350 like that I'm not sure if it will get a 12v or not. But they are sure some good looking trucks.
83 long bed 2wd sas, 3rz, w56, duals with 4.7 rear, 4.88 elock front, spartan rear, 39.5 iroks
01 double cab hunting truck
06 tacoma street truck
