86' 22re. Just rebuilt my motor. New head from engnbldr.  Fuel injectors rebuilt from Mr. Injector. Adjusted TPS. Set timing to 5 degrees jumped. Number 4 cylinder is not firing. Spark tester shows spark. Listened to fuel injector with long screwdriver and I can her it ticking. Pulled #4 spark plug and it is wet with fuel. Swapped plugs with #3 just to check still problem on #4.
I'd like to do compression check but I dont have the right adapter for the spark plug hole. Can I hold in the hole with the rubber adapter while somebody else turns it over?
Anybody had this problem before?

Are you trying to start it for the first time, or has it been running and now wont start?

It was running. Amazing really. The plugs were hooked up 1-2-3-4 and the distributor was 180 out. Fixed.
