Hi, I have a 2010 FJ Cruiser with a Marlin Crawler Inchworm lefty with 4.7 gears and 30 spline that I bought from another avid offroader. It has the single stick transfercase and sometimes when I am driving over really bumpy parts in 4High it will shift on its own back to 2High. Is there anything that I can do to prevent it shifting out?

Check to make sure the shifter boot is not causing this problem.

As he said check the floor boot to make sure it is not applying pressure to the shift handle especially under load.  Also we make HD detent springs for the t-case that will help if you don't already have them installed.  Thanks  :turtle:

MY lefty does this if the shifter boot is put on wrong.  I have the HD detent springs installed on mine.

Is it common for the floor boot to be loud when crawling in 4low? The rubber seams to be rubbing a lot. Also where can I purchase those HD detent springs and do you have the part number for them?

Not sure what you mean by a load floor boot but the gear drive case is going to be nosier then the chain drive that came out of your FJ for sure. The part number for the springs is MCTC-53611   :turtle:

I mean the faux leather material is quite loud as you're engaged in 4low as the stick moves some on its own. Thanks for the part ##.

not sure if this could be an issue, but is it possible the stick is hitting sheet metal of the floor? I have heard of that issue on otehr vehicles, and that could make the vibrations shift itself

I had this issue when I did a bodylift on my old 2wd hilux
