I have a small leak between bell housing and engine. Sure its motor oil. Had to add little bit yesterday. All other fluids are good. What could be leaking. Help would be greatly appreciated. Btw its an 89 Toyota 4runner 22re 5speed i believe it's w56-c

It could be the half moon gasket on the back of the valve cover... or your rear main seal.. find the highest point of oil .. if the oil is on the outside of the bellhousing and making its way down I'd say half moon.. if it's only visible from the bottom of the bellhousing/motor I'd say rear min seal...

engine oil=half moon or rear main, possibly valve cover gasket.

Gear oil=tranny input seal or seal housing gasket.

Gonna try and track it down again tonight.. i cleaned every thing off real good so i can see leak better. Hope its something simple to fix. Thanks for y'alls thoughts

Rear main will drip through hole at bottom of bellhousing. Depending on the size of the leak, you maybe able to see it drip through that hole while idling.

If it's not any of the ones listed above, there may be a possibility that it could be the head gasket. My diesel is exibiting the same symptoms right now and it is being caused by the head gasket. Don't even think about diving into it that far until you have eliminated the other possibilities listed above though.
