v-6 brake clearance/rim
« on: Dec 17, 2014, 09:12:39 PM »
so i put v-6 brakess and fj rotors on my 81 pickup and my rims clear the brake calipers :) but barely :( pretty sure grinding them a bit on the one cooling fin and a bit on the corners just for a bit more clearence in case of bent or flexed rim. how thick do ya think the calipers are in those areas. im pretty sure the fin can grind down but the corners probly not so much.

I would just put the rims on and if they turn fine when torqued down just dont grind on them but if you do dont do much. you dont want to go all the way through thats for sure. but they are pretty thick.
