13th Annual Marlin Crawler Round-Up
Another Round-Up is in the books and what a great event it was! Despite only having registration open for one month, we had just under 200 rigs register and served almost 300 dinners! We moved the event earlier before the school season to encourage more family participation and had a great time meeting a bunch of great people! Thanks to everyone's help during the events and raffle, we were able to donate $9,422 to the Rubicon Trail Foundation! It marks another huge accomplishment in helping the Rubicon trail and we can't wait to do it again! See everyone again next year! (Aug 23, 2014)

At the Lake Tahoe Staging Area getting everything loaded up. The rig at left belongs to Wyatt of RockSloidToys.com, and the rig at right belongs to Ray, and also built by Wyatt and RST! Both Tacoma's have Dual Ultimate Marlin Crawler Transfer Cases and can do pretty much any and everything!

About halfway down Cadillac Hill Ray managed to break his front-right shock shaft. It was an interesting break that snapped the shaft in two separate places. o_0

Horseshoe tournament!

This is Sean from Comerson's Toy Shop in San Jose, CA. Sean led the horseshoe competition and brought his crew who provided support for broken rigs so Marlin could spend time with customers instead of wrenching. This year Edwin aka SuperYota oversaw the entire dinner experience (from purchasing all the ingredients to hauling it all up), and utilized great event cooking veterans such as YOTAMAN Larry at left, Spencer's father Dion at right, and Butch, who brought in all the meat!

Dinner is served!

Marlin always has a great time greeting everyone, such a cool opportunity!

We didn't have an 'Official' R/C Rock Crawler Competition this year, but we wanted to do something for those playing with their R/Cs at main camp, so BigMike had the kids of driver's come up to see who's mother or father were the best R/C drivers. The winner was the little guy in the camo jacket who said his dad is not a good driver. It was hilarious!

As it got dark we turned on the lights, which was a LED Light Bar courtesy of Scott from the Slag Factory. Thank you VERY MUCH Scott for helping out at another Round-Up event!

It was down the last 4 Grand Prizes and BigMike called out all ticket numbers except the last, and called up the remaining 10 possible winners until he read off the final digit. The suspense was fun!
