Anyone into auto detailing ? I picked up some nice 85 sr5 seats. They look real good but where stored in a garage an smell a bit like mouse pee. Id like to give them a good deep cleaning an dont know where to start.

mouse pee, i dunno if I would use em. Steam clean maybe

Stocker

Mrs. Stocker just cleaned a grubby couch. She rented a carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment. Not quite like new, but it did a pretty good job. Looks much better now. Not real cheap though by the time you rent the machine (and the attachment) and buy their cleaner.

Home version of carpet cleaner.........

Set up your wet/dry vac in wet mode.

Make a hot water & simple green solution or carpet cleaning solution(check bottle for concentration)
(you can make the mix then heat up in microwave)

Put mixture into spray bottle.

Spray seats.    (scrub brush may helpP

Wait awhile.

Vacuum seats with wet vac.

Repeat a couple of times.

Let dry, sniff.

If need be, use some fabreeze......

Handling anything that mice have left urine or feces on is dangerous especially if you have children.

Spray(pretty wet) the seats down with "Nature's Miracle ", and work the solution in with a soft scrub brush, then use a steam cleaner with the upholstery attachment and clean the seats, and let them dry in the sun, repeat if the smell of urine is still there.  This should remove the urine smell as well as the hantavirus if it is mice urine and the mice had the virus.
