Thanks. Lots of hard work!!

I fully know!  You have a lot more effort into the way you are doing things than the way i built mine.

Looks Great! Nice clean runner.  I think your going to regret those springs... Id get some all pros or add some small leafs to the 63s... just my 2 cents.  Love your work.

Why am I going to regret the springs?? Too hard?? not enough flex??

Dingman.

Thanks.  I like how mine worked before minues the problems i had with the toy axles.  We will see how it works with the new axles/suspension.  Im sure the tires i have wont be great traction wise.  Cant wait to get it driving and another set of iroks on it.

There are pros and cons to 63" chevys.  I have them and i like how they rode before.  It was a three leaf pack with a random leaf added plus some weird overload i ran upside down (dont ask why because i dont know).  However, i had to run 2" blocks and 7" shackles for it to sit level with the front.  This time around, i pulled the overload out and ditched the blocks.

The thing i do not like about 63" chevys is they are LONG. I have kind of been hung up on the front spring hanger, but other than that i like them.

As far as the tg springs you went with for the back, i cant comment on the rear setup but ive seen people run them and they say that they like them.  :dunno:  i just went chevys cause i was cheap.  Another good cheap option is ford f150 springs

Ive had bad luck with Trail mart springs.  Broken.  Stiff, and then after a year they are flat.  But some people like them.  Chevys are long, and hard to get alot of lift, but I like things low anyways.

After a few rides I guess I'll determine if I like the springs.

What problem's did you have with the yota axles??

Picked up a 2nd gen radiator support. (Thanks Kevin @ Valley off road)
Going to swap it out. I love the way the lights look on these.  Also found a full set of 2nd gen seats.

Side by side comparison.

Made our marks.

.The 1st gen was a longer
So we had to Cut and bend the tabs.

Here's what it will look like.  Still need to weld everything up and make it permanent..

Dingman.

I think i prefer the 1st gen runner grills over the 2nd gens.  Just my opinion though.!

What all do you have left to do to the 4runner before its driveable?

Chuyota

*Finish install fuel, brake, Evap lines
Then just add power steering fluid, and coolant to start it.
*Drive lines should be ready on Wed
*Finish welding the Tcase bracket.
*Cut and cover the floor board for the Tcase bracket.
*Make a guard for the Tcase.
*Install ARB compressor
*Install interior- brackets for rear seats.
*Install exhaust.

And a few other little things I can't remember at the moment.
I need to get her done for the Fourth of July.   That's the goal!

Your axles are coming along great!!!

Yeah. You have a project on your hands.
But your truck is 10xs better thank mine.

Dingman.

you did very similar things i have done and i don't think mine is any better, .  motor swap/dual ultimates/etc etc..  I just decided to go to one tons instead of continuing to replace toyota axle parts all the time.

So did it end up being difficult to swap the tacoma dash into your runner?  or is it pretty simple?

I guess your right, the dash we simple, we just cut and used the original brackets. Welded them to the Tacoma dash support.
I've read up on other swaps, this wasn't that hard at all. Everything was pretty much plug and play. I only had to extend passenger head lamp, fuel pump, speed sensor harness. I just hope my fuel take is accurate.  I guess I'll find out.

Front seats are in

Drive lines and brake lines are next.
If everything goes like planned I should be able to drive it tomorrow.

Thanks!!!
Two of the bolts line up on the seats. I haven't done the rear yet, but the front was really easy! these seats are a lot better than the originals.

Nice work!

So you used the complete tacoma harness, dash and emissions? What did it take to get the stock hvac box to work with the tacoma dash, just the ductwork?

My 22re is really getting tired and smoky so I need to start getting serious about my swap. I'm planning to swap the same basic items that you did except i'm going to use the stock taco auto with 2 stock cases behind it. Your build is good inspiration, thanks!

Yes, we used the whole harness, dash and all the emission components.  As far as the HVAC box we modified the Tacoma resistor to the factory box.   Make sure you post a build thread, and feel free to ask all the question you want.
