CAN YOU SWITCH OUT 4X4 FRONT LIGHTS FOR 2wheel drive
« on: May 12, 2014, 08:36:38 PM »
i have a 1990 4x4 toyota pickup. can i switch out the 4x4 light for the 2 wheel drive lights.
the reason is because the lights have differents angles so i was wondering if its an easy switch that still lines up if its the same year?

Front marker lights? The front fenders a made different. Marker lights are different. You have to use the 2-wheel drive fenders.

sorry i need some clarification please. I have a 4x4 truck with the 4x4 marker lights. i am trying to find fenders and all i see is the 2 wheel drive fenders.

Rockauto.com has new 4x4 fenders from about $33-59, the $59 dollars ones are auto bodyshop approved, so they should fit with less alignment issues than the cheaper ones.  Also, if you are not aware, any fenders 4x4 fenders from '89-95(non-Tacoma) trucks will work, as well as '90-'95 4 Runners.

If your current fenders are only lightly dented, you could try your hand at dent repair, you can get a basic hammer and dolly set for around $30 shipped from summitracing.com, maybe cheaper at Harbor Frieght.
