Kit will include our USA-made billet aluminum base, pre-installed custom-made high quality stainless steel serviceable pivot bolts, modified & reconditioned Toyota shift handle, new Toyota shift boot, four captured-washer shift handle retainer plate bolts, and of course our Heavy Duty Red Shift Seat and Socket!

What makes this kit so special?

• Eliminates the hard to find and leak-prone thick factory rubber gasket and it's six bolt spacers
  
  • The thickness of the rubber has been calculated into the height of the base
  
  
• Leak-free One-piece Design
  
  • Replaces 8 factory parts with our one base
  
  
• Serviceable Stainless Steel Pivot Bolts
  
  • If the pivots in a stock base go bad, the entire base must be thrown away. Our design provides pivots that may be serviced at any time.
  
  
• Shift Handle Retainer Plate traps pivot bolts in place preventing critical failure
  
  • If our loctited pivot bolt ever becomes loose, it can only move millimeters until it interferes with the handle's retainer plate. The very worst case scenario would just be a slightly loose shift handle rather than the shift handle flying out while you are trying to speed shift (something you'll be enjoying immensely).
  
  
• Transmission flange bolts remain in the stock location for ease of access
  
  • The old way to reduce the throw was to slap a 1" spacer between the stock base and transmission flange. This required bolts that are 1" longer than stock. If you don't have a body lift, it can be a real pain in the ass trying to get these longer bolts in or out due to interference with the floorboard.
  
  
• Includes original modified Toyota Shift Handle (we'll need your old handle back)
  
  
• Includes the World's BEST USA-made Heavy Duty Seat and Socket
  
  • The short throw magnifies just how great our H.D. Seat and Socket are. You've gotta check it out for yourself.
  
  
• Low Profile Design for floorboard clearance
  
  • As mentioned, the old 1" spacer approach raised the entire shift base up 1" which causes interference in some cases and is particularly tricky to install with flat-belly (raised drivetrain setups)
  
  
• Made in USA from USA Billet Aluminum
  
  • Way stronger than the stock cast part it replaces. Enough said.

So, what do you guys think? It will maintain the same 40% shift handle pattern reduction as our other G52/G54/G58 and R150F/R151F kits, reducing both forward-to-back and side-to-side movements.

I'll keep this updated with any questions you might have and will also post additional pictures of the complete kit soon.

Update on this: We forgot to include a Core Charge on our website to get your stock shift handle back to us. Sorry for the oversight, which has now been mended, but we'll be calling everyone who placed an order (there have been a lot! Thank you!) to either have their handle sent in ahead of time to avoid the core charge, or to accept the temporary core charge which we'll refund later once we receive your old handle.

To explain this further, the kit price is $199 and the core charge is $100. The core charge is fully refunded upon the return of your stock handle. For future orders, if anyone would prefer not to have their cash held ransom, then give us a call and arrange to send in your handle ahead of time. That way we can hold onto your order until your handle arrives and then send it out without charging for any core

Also, side note, we used to only charge a $20 core for our other Short Throw Kits but literally no one was sending back their handles and we were quickly running out of handles to modify ... Which is why we've upped the ante to encourage people to return their now unused & unneeded handles back!

Core charges are never meant to be evil, rather they are meant to keep the world spinning round n round for many more uses of orphaned parts that are no longer being manufactured by Toyota

So I received my w56-a short throw kit yesterday!

Its everything I knew it was going to be. Works, installs, and looks awesome.

Here are some install pictures, took MAYBE 20 minutes.

The picture I took comparing the throw is with my triple sticks in double low, there is actually clearance now!

Got mine Friday and installed it today, took maybe 15-20 minutes to install.





Words can not describe the improvement, after installing Marlin's HD seat and socket on the stock shifter I still had slop, installed this and it feels nice and tight. Definitely one of the best modifications I have done to my rig and if it wasn't for the 3RZ it would have the top spot
