May have missed it and if so sorry...

Know a place that has a bunch of toyota transmissions laying around, working on getting a '81 and would like to upgrade it to the L52 or at least have it as a back up. Length will get me the L series over the G/W, but is there a easy way to identify the 52 over the 50 and earlier?
(Not a transmission guy so use small words please!)

thanks in advance!

here is the input bearing number for the L52   -- B32-14UR, 32BC08S1N

the L50 input bearing is --  63/32N, 032-2

you have to remove the input bearing retainer and put an :eye: on the bearing itself
