95 4runner cruise control issues

I have a 95 4runner3.0 auto and wheni turn the cruise on the light comes on but I cannot set it and it will not accelerate with the button so the only thing working on it is the light comes on and that is it.

Try adjusting the Kick-Down Cable. Check the cut out switch near the brake pedal.
