So this is my first post here on Marlin, so try not to beat me up too bad. I am actually pretty new to forums to begin with so I did my best on research but still come up empty. I am not new to Toyota's as a whole, but I am new to full customization aspect.
Background on my Yota:
'93 Ext Cab SR5
3vz-e with as you guessed R150F 5 speed and VF1A TCase.(hopefully soon 5vz-fe)
SAS 4in front and rear with '81 front axle housing but '85 knuckles and internals.
Lockright in the front with E-Locker in the rear.
35in BFG KM2's
I am ridiculously stubborn about having the really clean installation look. I always go the extra mile to make everything look factory even though my build list is far from it. I obviously want to ditch the chain drive case and add dual gear drive top shift cases. I was looking at the v6 adapter plate to the gear driven case. Since I like the factory installed look, how far back is the adapter plate going to set my shifter back. I am planning on doing the triple stick route once I get the duals put together. I have done well to keep my center console and would like it to stay that way. I have seen pictures of the triple stick in the stock location but I am afraid that it was out of a 4cyl Toyota only. Any information and pictures would be great.
The only other option I came up with would be to use the R150F transmission with R151 tail housing so that I can bolt up the gear driven TCase. Of course finding the R151 is no easy task for me, let alone the R151 with the RF1A already behind it with the 23 spline input.
What are you all doing in this situation and am I the only one with the factory installation look bug? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
